
Public Servant Makes Politics Interesting Again

This is why Twitter is good. You can’t explain what Twitter is to someone who doesn’t use it. It’s a pointless enigma to those who see it as a kind of Facebook-type of application. Yes, updates can be mundane, however, that is the allure. Also, fun can be had with fake accounts. There is a sordid story developing in Australian politics as I write this. It involves a ute, a prime minister, an opposition leader, a public servant and a fake e-mail.
Someone has created a fake Twitter account for the public servant at the centre of the scandal, Godwin Grech (who has an uncanny likeness to Crispin Glover). Here is a grab of the Twitter feed:

The real Godwin Grech is in hiding and his house has been egged. Rumour has it he in hospital suffering what actors call ‘exhaustion’.
